Xerox Business Operations Analyst in Wilsonville, Oregon
Description Help business people access data and transform it into actionable information. Own the architecture and implementation of a Qlikview based business analytics solutions for a division of Xerox. Work with the business to define needs, architect solutions and develop, test and implement them. Provide self-service analytics to a diverse group of users, including Sales, operations, marketing and supply chain. The right candidate will have a strong background in IT as well as business experience. This role is 30% business analytics and 70% tool/development. Purpose The Senior Business Systems Analyst (SBSA) has strong knowledge of the business with an interest in technology and software solutions. This includes working with the business and the technology partners to gather requirements and leading the effort to analyze, validate and document these requirements. The SBSA is a key facilitator within the IT organization, acting as a bridge between the business and the IT groups, and is accountable for a technology solution that supports the business request or opportunity and is based on the enterprise architecture. This role also works as a solution architect to ensure the accuracy of the business need in a timeframe that matches the pace of the business. This role works with the business and as necessary helps the business change processes to improve data accuracy and use. Scope of Job Autonomy: Works under broad direction. Primary Responsibilities Works with the business to understand what data they need and how to best provide it in a self-service tool. Be a mentor/role model to others using data in the business. Be responsible for data quality and stewardship. Resolve issues with data sources as needed. Qualifications Candidate Education Preferred Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field Preferred Master's Degree In Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field Candidate Experience (candidates use this as a quick filter) 5 years of IT experience SA, BSA, SBA roles. 5 year supporting and or working in/with business organizations. Demonstrated experience providing analysis of business data or supporting groups that provide analysis. Has excellent interpersonal skills and is fully experienced at dealing with clients/users. Technical Requirements: Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tablou, Qlikivew, Yellow fin, Business Objects or similar tools. 4-5 years’ programming, SQL experience 4-5 years’ experience providing analytical support to a team. 4-5 years of using data to solve business problems.
