Xerox Market Intelligence Analyst in Webster, New York

Essential Functions: * Contributes to the research and identification of future sourcing strategies and sourcing opportunities for products and services in the marketplace via benchmarking, market analysis, research, alliance/partner relationship, and industry forums. * Help build intellectual knowledgebase in market research and intelligence projects by understanding industry trends for products and services in current market place, value propositions, and develop analysis that creates value. * Provide insightful and innovative solutions to knowledge processes in the strategic sourcing and procurement research and analytics domain * Map cost structures and cost drivers that impact products and services for both buy side and sell side of the business. * Building supply intelligence networks in the market research area by writing articles, speaking at relevant conferences and forums etc.

Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or other related fields. * Ability to process data to draw insights, answering “so what” questions about data Strong analytical ability, Flair for quantitative data analyses and interpretation Comfort with unstructured situations. * Collaborate and build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the practice is truly global in nature. * Be hands-on with project delivery and manage both primary research and competitive * intelligence projects as required. When required, conduct analysis based on research data, by applying various statistical concepts/ techniques like multiple regression, factor, cluster analysis, etc * Typically has 5–10 years of relevant technical or business work experience. * Has deep understanding of procurement best practices and abreast with emerging trends impacting sourcing strategies and business operations. * Demonstrated expertise in the field of Market Research related to procurement in aid of Procurement Strategies including, but not limited to Strategic Sourcing, Category management, Spend Management, Market Intelligence, supply market assessment, cost modeling & financial analysis, procurement risk analysis, Procurement analytics and Process Automation. * Experience in handling various kinds of research projects, client servicing, data interpretation and insights generation. * Exposure to either all or some of the various techniques of primary and secondary research such as customer satisfaction, segmentation, brand & advertising research and pricing & product. * Proficient in key office productivity applications, ERP tools, statistical/analytical modeling tools and concepts. * Should have strong commitment and passion towards the procurement domain. * Direct experience (within or outside Company) in the following areas: clarifying requirements, topic development and planning, consulting, solution development, delivery management, program management, facilitating research process and summary de-briefing.
