The Business Analyst (BA) will serve as a liaison between the Client, Operations and Development teams to ensure the solution is well-defined, meets the documented and agreed upon business requirements, and ensures proper implementation of the requested system changes. The successful incumbent will define the requirements for approved system changes, and provides the systems engineering analysis necessary for the successful delivery and deployment of the system. The BA is responsible for gathering, defining and communicating business requirements to provide recommendations in the areas of project planning, business management, budget execution, and project coordination. The Business Analyst prepares the appropriate gap analysis and conducts / coordinates financial, product, market, operational, and related research to support strategic and business/project planning within the organization.
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Develop and deliver the following artifacts as required: Business Requirements Document, Design Documents, Use Cases, Requirements Traceability Matrixes, Gap Analyses, and Process Models.
Work with Development and Technical teams to efficiently troubleshoot system level problems.
Serve as the initial point of review for all submitted system change requests, and communicates requested system changes to the development team.
Help business partners identify and document work flows, and prepare accurate and detailed requirement specification documents. Proactively works with business partners to help them frame their business needs.
Translate business requests into detailed system and software requirements.
Work closely with the Development team to ensure what is being built meets the client’s requirements. Resolve requirements and design issues. Respond to questions from the Business and Development teams during the development stage of the product life cycle to clarify function and ensure deliverables will meet Client needs. Produce process maps to facilitate analysis of proposed changes and support assessment of their scope and impact to the project.
Work closely with Test Manager to validate test cases and test results against requirements.
Domestic travel required (25%).
Two (2 ) years in a Business Systems Analyst role.
Bachelor Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems; or equivalent work experience.
The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following.
Industry experience in Transportation (Transit / Tolling) related services.
Business Analyst Certification (CBAP, CCBA, CSBA).
Project Management experience.
Experience in business process mapping.
Experience with full software development life cycle (SDLC) including both waterfall and Agile.
A working knowledge of JAMA, JIRA, and the Microsoft suite of products including MS Project and Visio
Must be currently eligible to work for any employer in the United States
