Xerox HR Services is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to our Global practice. Additionally, this role will include managing partner relationships with various payroll vendors and technology partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior HR/Payroll Solution Architect will have a strong background working in end-to-end HR/Payroll services operations and HR/Payroll outsourcing engagements. An in-depth knowledge of related HR/Payroll disciplines, the HR/Payroll market place, and HR/Payroll industry best practices is also expected. This role will encompass:

  • Developing business cases for pursuing business opportunities, in collaboration with Sales Executives and Operations Leaders; forecasting potential revenue and identifying potential award cycle conflicts (such as scheduling/duration).

  • Completing studies of client business processes in order to re-design business processes and identify HR/Payroll outsourcing opportunities.

  • Providing support in identifying and qualifying leads; planning and scheduling team reviews to determine the viability of opportunities.

  • Understanding risks and critical factors to insure success in securing or winning business. Identifying contacts, organizational participants, and teams, and considering associated risks.

  • Acting independently at client sites.

  • Managing payroll partner relationships. Strategically leading our payroll solution efforts as we construct broad global and regional partner relationships.

  • Designing solutions to support responses to client Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, Requests for Quotes, as well as for Xerox initiated sales efforts. Assisting in proposal preparation and cost estimation; also writing proposals as needed.

  • Preparing, presenting and participating in executive level corporate presentations, client vendor meetings and team initiatives. May act as a subject matter expert during contract negotiation.

  • Maintaining up to date resources within Xerox; utilizing training opportunities, conferences and seminars to enhance functional marketing and subject matter/client expertise.

  • Leveraging marketing related reports and benchmarking information to effectively inform and support sales pursuits and provide consulting to clients.

  • May attend trade shows, conferences, etc., to represent Xerox HR/Payroll Services’ products and solutions.

  • May coach and provide leadership for other solution architects on the sales support team.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years of experience in HR/Payroll solutions architect role or comparable job assignments.

  • Eight to ten years of experience in the HR/Payroll industry preferred, with three to five years of operations experience delivering HR/Payroll services for outsource customers.

  • Experience working across several industries or deep experience in one or two industries.

  • Minimum five years of consultative selling experience and/or proven experience as a trusted business advisor to clients.

  • Proven success in helping to solve client problems and positively impacting performance of client HR/Payroll populations; ability to take a business outcome and link it to an appropriate HR/Payroll need.

  • Ability to consider and plan for all factors in the business environment that impact the performance of a target audience; not just considering HR/Payroll solutions.

  • Solves complex client problems; takes an innovative perspective to identify solutions.

  • Demonstrated effectiveness working with sales pursuit teams and operations teams to integrate activities and meet demanding deadlines.

  • Performs complex analyses of client business processes, identifying technologies, tools, and alternative practices to reduce client cost.

  • Determines scope of work and confirms level of effort for HR/Payroll solutions with operations leads; experience with financial modeling preferred.

  • Typically requires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience

  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.

  • Builds knowledge of the client’s organization, processes, and customers.

  • Uses best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve service offerings, in collaboration with Xerox HR/Payroll Services operations teams.

  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance.

  • Ability to successfully work in a virtual team environment and use appropriate virtual communications technologies.

  • Recognized as an external thought leader within strategic function or discipline.

  • Proactively identifies, defines, and provides input on the most complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business.

  • Leads multidisciplinary projects or initiatives.
