POSITION DESCRIPTION: Remote Solutions Architect – Learning Services
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Solution Architect will have a strong background working in end-to-end learning services operations and learning outsourcing engagements. An in-depth knowledge of related learning disciplines, the learning market place, and learning industry best practices is also expected.
This role will encompass:
Completing studies of client business processes in order to re-design business processes and identify learning outsourcing opportunities.
Understanding risks and critical factors to insure success in securing or winning business.
Identifying contacts, organizational participants, and teams, and considering associated risks.
Acting independently at client sites.
Designing solutions to support responses to client Requests for Proposals, Requests for
Information, Requests for Quotes, as well as for Xerox initiated sales efforts.
Assisting with proposal preparation and cost estimation; also writing proposals as needed.
Participating in executive level corporate presentations, client vendor meetings and team
Maintaining up to date resources within Xerox; utilizing training opportunities, conferences and
seminars to enhance functional marketing and subject matter/client expertise.
Leveraging marketing related reports and benchmarking information to effectively inform and
support sales pursuits and provide consulting to clients.
May attend trade shows, conferences, etc., to represent Xerox Learning Services’ products and

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of five years’ experience in learning solutions architect role or comparable job assignments.
Eight to ten years of experience in the learning industry preferred, with three to five years of operations experience delivering learning services for outsource customers.
Minimum five years of consultative selling experience and/or proven experience as a trusted business advisor to clients.
Experience working across several industries or deep experience in one or two industries.
Proven success in helping to solve client problems and positively impacting performance of client learning populations; ability to take a business outcome and link it to an appropriate learning need.
Ability to consider and plan for all factors in the business environment that impact the performance of a target audience; not just considering learning solutions.
Ability to solve complex client problems and take an innovative perspective to identify solutions.
Demonstrated effectiveness working with sales pursuit teams and operations teams to integrate activities and meet demanding deadlines.
Ability to complete complex analyses of client business processes, identifying technologies, tools, and alternative practices to reduce client cost.
Experience with determining scope of work and confirmation level of effort for learning solutions with operations leads; experience with financial modeling preferred.
In-depth knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
Ability to build knowledge of the client’s organization, processes and customers.
Understanding of best practices and knowledge of business issues to improve service offerings, in collaboration with Xerox Learning Services operations teams.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Ability to successfully work in a virtual team environment and use appropriate virtual communications technologies.
Ability to travel up to 25% (international and domestic).
