Develop/implement systems to produce and distribute personalized communications. The systems use data from various sources (Sybase, mainframe, etc.) and produce multiple output formats, including pdf, fax, email, postscript, metacode and DJDE streams. Products supported include GMC, Compuset and Solimar solutions.
Working with business teams on current and future requirements, offering solutions and alternatives as appropriate
Developing tools and utilities to help business teams be more productive and to provide clearer and more standard requirements
Managing incoming projects, adjusting resources as needed
Coordinating with vendors and suppliers on enhancements and additional systems
Building solutions to address growing needs of the business and to provide new functionality and capabilities to lead the industry
Maintaining the systems to deliver maximum uptime, reliability and productivity
Streamlining and improving efficiency of existing solutions
Standardizing elements when possible to bring on new clients more quickly, easily and inexpensively
Supervising teams of developers charged with creating and delivering the personalized communications
Main skills – Compuset, GMC, JCL, some Fortran
Preferred skills – familiarity with IBM mainframes and Xerox high speed printers
